Draco Malfoy gets a second chance, one more chance to prove he was forced to be a Death Eater, to prove he is a good man underneath the mask his family has pulled over his face.
He gets the opportunity to return to Hogwarts, for one more year of education. When that year is over, he is either free, or thrown back into Azkaban for the rest of his life.
It seems hopeless, but the forgiveness of a certain raven-haired Gryffindor might be the the perfect tool for the job, fake it 'till you make it.
Or until it gets true.
Harry Potter is heartbroken. The wizarding world only used him as a marrionette, and even Ron and Hermione only stayed with him until the day after the war, before leaving with the message 'Dumbledore wanted us to be friends until the world was safe. It is now, so goodbye!'
Only Luna Lovegood acts the same, and out of loneliness, Harry doesn't mind Draco's advances, and he plays along with the act the Slytherin is preforming, though knowing it will pass, like everything. He fakes his feelings for a while, and acts as though he feels better.
