It was the same year as the year of the cats and the spiders. When we had to kill the kittens. It was a very strange time.
The house was infested with spiders. Big, black and hairy; they were all over and we couldn’t get rid of them. They hid away during the day and at night when we were sleeping they came out and walked around. It was terrifying going to bed when you knew that you would wake up in the middle of the night with them crawling over you.
You would try and put sleep off as much as possible, reading with the light on; making much noise in an attempt to keep them away. You would feel their presence just beyond where the light reached; you could feel their eyes on you, waiting for the darkness to come crawling out of their holes, their feet making a slight scratching noise on the floor. A slight tip-tap as they were running closer; intruding into your dreams and causing countless nightmares. Except this time it was real.

It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. MISSING
A dream I had that forced its way out of my head and onto Wattpad. A story that wants to be told. The night of July 23rd going into the morning of July 24th 2015 I had a dream as I slept, a dream that played like a movie. When I woke, I felt I just had to write it. It wanted to come out. I wrote over 2,700 words then and there before doing anything else. A week later and a story became complete at a little over 7,700 words. This, for a long time, was something I really wanted to return to. There was and is so much more that I thought could be done with this tale, so as January 2022 comes to a close, a return does come to that world. Those 7,7000 words have become 8,600 words of an opening story in this ... world. The time had come to explore this world a little further ... a second tale, complementing the first, written between January 31st - February 2nd 2022 now takes the total word count to just under 12,800 words.
