She was broken and never realised it. And although the movement of time aided her in the slow process of healing, scars were permanently etched into her soul. She convinced herself that keeping her head held high and putting on a masked facade would be best. She convinced herself that she had been fixed. 

How wrong she was. 

He was a Captain of an elite squad and was once a thug, fighting to survive the harsh lifestyle of the Underground alongside two close friends. His past life is something he'd prefer isn't up for discussion, but even now in his new life aboveground he'd rather keep the past details of his life to himself. 

The difference between them was that one adapted to the harsh reality of life and learnt from the past, to hold no regrets, to accept what's done is done. The other did neither of these and tried to forget their origins and the pain it brought them. They built a thick, towering wall between themselves, the people who cared and their past life. 

What will happen when these two perspectives meet, when two differently scarred people unite under one symbol which is the freedom of humanity?
