Twenty years have flown by, and the inmates have expanded their families. Question, Ace, Jack, Crow-girl, Tundra, Copycat, Itch, Alice, and Scar all live in a separate part of the asylum, far from their insane parents. Never being outside of Arkham, they all decide to escape to experience Gotham City. But their escape doesn't just have the police looking for them. Batman, Robin and Batgirl are also looking for them. A grand day out has now become a war. And not just a war between Arkham and Gotham. The children of the asylum are at war with themselves as they decide whether or not they wish to continue their parents' legacies.
