The summer after his first year at U.A an ash blonde boy's quirk had ruined his hearing. He had always been very loud and so was his quirk so it was no surprise that during a fight he had heard a pop and a ringing before he couldn't hear anything else. He had immediately shouted at the green haired boy he had been fighting with and ran home, he usually could hear the pads of his shoes slapping against the pavement and he couldn't, it was upsetting him even more. When his ears were soon tested he found out he had lost all of his hearing. He had then went silent, his parents not being able to afford hearing aids had taught him how to read lips as well as sign language.
