Ratchet is blinded in a fight with knockout and nobody knows what to do. Without Ratchet's sight, he can't heal the team and he can't fix any computers or machinery. Now with a disabled doctor, the Autobots have to figure out who will help take care of ratchet and who will become the new medic for the team.

After the confrontation with Skyquake, Ratchet tried to employ the same tactic the decepticons used to hopefully find more help. Luckily Ratchet's efforts worked and found a signal that led to a crash site of a ship. After taking the ground bridge to the crash site and looking through the wreckage and the ship's log, they learned that there was a bot that flew the ship and they were in a stasis pod. After opening the pod revealing the bot inside, the autobots then learned the bot in question was named Hauler, leader of the Relentless Renegades, one of the most effective teams known on Cybertron. With Hauler's skills and brutal effectiveness, he will help turn the tide of the war for the Autobots.

(A TFP Ratchet x femme reader fanfiction) A love they thought could never be broken. A love they both had since young bots in that small medical class so long ago back on Cybertron. ...A love that abruptly and unwillingly paused for them both. Ratchet felt that sharp pain every day since she offlined hit him deep in the spark, making it almost impossible to breathe. Yet he pushed through, for her. She was gone, and the sparkbond they shared was the only thing that kept him connected to her even though it caused him so much mental and physical pain. After the death of Cliffjumper, the autobots were dealt quite the blow, both emotionally and in their numbers. On top of that air superiority is still in the decepticons favor which is still a big problem for the Autobots. But the day after the Autobots try to rescue Cliffjumper; only to find him as an undead terrorcon zombie, Ratchet picks up an autobot signal, but is perplexed to see that it is airborne. Most believe it's a trap, but Optimus believes that it is still worth investigating. As they try to do so the decepticons also pick up the signal. But the signal originator aids the Autobots in driving off the decepticons in his green cargo plane mode resembling a modified Antonov An-225. After the decepticons are dealt with, the jet hovers in front of the Autobots and then transforms into a bot that is nearly equal in height to Optimus himself. Once transformed Optimus immediately recognized who this bot was... his second in command, Jetfire. (A/N: Yes I am using the Transformers Cybertron Jetfire for this fanfic. And he will have his cyberkey power but it will be explained differently in the story.)
