The kiss lasts barely a moment, not long enough for Nik to react or kiss back, before Loki has pulled away, and, with a pointed look at the stunned into silence Vampire, Loki turns his attention back to the novel resting in his lap. As he turns away, Nik spots the very faint blush of red staining Loki's usually pale cheeks, and, with a slight smirk, he returns to examining the peace treaties.
