A hunting assessment can't change a whole life, at least that's what Brownpaw thought. His leader lay dead, that day, promising more and more troubles. After that, everything goes by as quick as a flash. StarClan sends him a prophecy, he starts having dreams, other cats die. But no one, not even Brownpaw, suspected the truth to be laying next to them the whole time.

Every disaster that threatens a Clan means StarClan will come and save you. You'll receive a prophecy that will save everything you love. The peril is vanquished in a battle, and there is no need for sleeping with one eye open anymore. StarClan will forever watch over you from your nest and keep you safe. That is what has been passed down from generations. Not every tale has to end like that: StarClan saving everyone with the chosen cat, everyone loving the hero or heroine - but it always does. So facing a challenge such as missing cats shouldn't be a challenging task. Moons pass on, cats keep disappearing faster and faster; nobody is doing anything to prevent the case. Everyone is relying on StarClan to send the prophecy to their medicine cat, just hoping that one day, the fiasco will end. Yet that's not the way fear works its way into hearts. Warriors, once brave and strong, now cowering behind one another. Apprentices with their eagerness to learn, now afraid of the outside world and going missing. She loves her clanmates dearly, but the clan deputy seems to watch their every move, just waiting for any cat to slip up. But it's the clan she was raised in. So, she should be loyal to them, right? Keenkit always figured he and his littermates were normal kits who would all become apprentices and be able to train together. But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment. Being a healer who suffers from severe anxiety isn't easy, but Twitchpaw knows as long as her mentor is there, she can get through it.
