Hau is a clumsy boy, an average excitable villager turned to determined knight through the strong willpower and dreams to become a great leader like his grandfather, Hala. Gladion is a forgotten prince, a tough-skinned lone wolf, or so he says. Escaping from the grasps of his egotistical mother Lusamine, the queen of the Alolan kingdom, he chooses his new path of combat to give himself a sense of meaning, and maybe a little bit of hope. The two are always on each others backs, helping the other out and having great rebellious adventures along the coasts of the several kingdom-ruled islands. However, trouble arises when King Guzma sweeps into Alola and has an affair with the Queen, unbeknownst to everyone but the duo of knights. Gladion goes undercover into the Skull kingdom, every few nights, and ancient mysteries uncover themselves.
But, behind the curtains, there is also the story between Hau and Gladion's a bit more-than-friends relationship, their stories, their feelings, and everything Gladion has been hiding. Can they uncover the secrets of Skullian runts before their kingdom gets destroyed? How will they seek help from the masterful village leaders, and find former Skull kingdom queen Plumeria? Will Lillie fall into the path of helping her mother, or will she look past her own issues to aid the others in their journey with the help of her loyal servant Kukui?
Well, I guess we'll just have to find out.
