Everything began to play in slow motion as our car began to flip in mid-air. The color of the sky turned black against the glittering of broken glass flying everywhere. My body jerked upward, smashing me against the roof of the car, then against the passenger side window. I couldn't tell if I had been screaming or completely silent. Glass pierced my waist and cold wind hit my face as it met the cold hard concrete.
My vision began to blur and my ears rang, my body going completely numb. From pain or shock, I couldn't tell. Slowly I tried to lift myself up but quickly my head came slamming back down onto the concrete as my left arm caught. Carefully moving my head, my eyes caught on my left arm. My fingertips had been trapped underneath the tire of the car. My arm being bent in the weirdest way. Pain began to come in pulses through my body, begging to make me more aware but the only thing I was fully aware of was my heavy breath as I sat there staring at my arm. It wasn't broken, I could still move it.
Forcing myself to take a deep breath, I turned my head to my waist where I had been shot halfway through the passenger side window. I was only being held in place by the glass that dug into my sides. A slight glimmer suddenly caught my eye, coming from behind the spider web cracked window. Forcing my eyes to focus I could see Hunter. He was hanging from his seat now in the air only being held by his seatbelt. I ignored the post of some highway sign that was slashed through the windshield impaling my lower stomach. I wasn't important right now.
