"They were enemies life and death, the oldest rivalry in existence and he would not let life walk freely through the world if he could help it. . ."

Life. An eternal cycle that moves forward. The love, passion, tenderness and lust of the world. The beautiful lie.
Death. An inevitable end. The anger, violence, resentment and rage of the world. The painful truth.

Since the dawn of time, all Death could feel was rage. It was inescapable and followed him everywhere he went. As hard as he tried to shake it, it only grew until he became unrecognizable. But as the centuries dragged on Death became curious, and while fate claimed it to be impossible, his secret curiosities grew until they became reality.
While Death is stuck to dwell in a single body for eternity, Life is reincarnated. When one of those reincarnations stumbles upon death in the crowded streets of New York both of their 'lives' are changed forever. In ways that are unknown to both of them, Life has awakened Death.
When Fate decides Life and Death are becoming threats to their rule over the mortal world they link the two as one making them easier to kill. They must push past their prejudices to survive the threats that fate throws their way and to avoid killing each other.
They face obstacles such as; corruption of thoughts, drowning in bathtubs and many kicked shins and murder attempts from the other. And aside from their mutual hatred they must survive each other and in the end somehow best fate before they are wiped from the world for good.

Empress of Fire

14 parts Complete

Lian snuck out of the imperial palace and exposed the village healer to be a fraud and a devil-worshipper. Cursed by the spurned fire god, Huogwai, and disgraced and cast out by the royal family, Lian set out with her manservant Emiru to the kingdom of fire to rid her of the curse of uncontrollable flames for a chance to regain her claim to the throne. But being a fire disciple meant she was a practitioner of the forbidden arts. For those that hunt her kind, the game had just started.
