"My friends don't know that I exist and honestly? I'm quite okay with that"
Y/n scrawls in their black and blue gradient, faux-leather bound diary. Listening to BTS's new albums, they swipe through their discovery page for new edits of the boys. There's ones for hard stans, soft stans, the people in between. There's one's for travelling, concert memories and everyday life. There's even imagine videos for ARMY who want so badly to be part of BTS's real world.
"Okay so..." They begin writing again "...It's not that I DON'T want to be a part of their world. And I do really love those edits... I just think I'm okay with them not knowing that. I mean think about it..." Y/n hesitates, pen over paper, and sighs.
And then one day, all things change.

A/N: Hey pals! This xreader is COMPLETELY gender neutral, so anyone can read it :D. It's mainly based on the ups and downs of becoming and maintaining a friendship with BTS - there will be little romantic moments, however, there will be spin-off type books for a progression onto relationships with the members, so you can choose what member you would like to be with~. (and of course, this book will stand alone as well, for those of you who don't want a relationship with the boys!). I hope y'all enjoy it, check my bio for updates on what I'm doing, and let me know what you'd like to see in this story in the comments! -Artie :D
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
