The past is always somehow connected to us- no matter how much we try to forget it.
Emaline was becoming a danger to herself- she would often go into phases where she'd get lost in her own mind, unaware of the world going on around her. It was like daydreaming times 100. Only Kalia could pull her back to reality. That all changed when Emaline and her family leave... without telling her best friend. It's been 2 years since she left, 3 years since Kalia's brother committed suicide, and 7 years since they met.
As Kalia looks to pursue a new chapter in her life, college bound and the whole future in her hands. Her life takes a turn for the better when she meets Sky, a mysterious someone she meets online and begins falling in love with.
On the other end of this online romance is Emaline, who's using this online persona to reconnect with Kalia.
Unread letters, forgotten memories, and their story that's etched within the clouds and stars, Kalia and Emaline's past becomes entangled with their present in more ways than they thought. With each passing day, Emaline is losing more of herself to the own whims of her mind. Will they make their way back to each other and save not only themselves, but their story?

Ethan and Luca were inseparable as children-two boys who spent their summer days building forts, sharing secrets, and dreaming of a future that would never tear them apart. But when Ethan's family suddenly moves to another state, their once unbreakable bond starts to fade. The letters slow, the phone calls dwindle, and soon, childhood promises give way to the inevitable distance that time creates. Years later, fate steps in when they are unexpectedly reunited as roommates during their sophomore year of college. Both have changed-Ethan is now a confident, outgoing athlete, while Luca has grown more reserved, preferring the solitude of his studies. Old memories resurface as they struggle to find common ground in the midst of their new lives. What begins as a tentative reconnection evolves into a friendship neither of them realized they still needed. But as the months go by, unspoken feelings rise to the surface. Ethan can't help but notice how much Luca has changed-and how deeply he's drawn to him in ways he doesn't fully understand. The more time they spend together, the more he questions if his feelings for Luca are more than just nostalgia for the boy he once knew. Meanwhile, Luca is grappling with his own confusion, unsure if what he feels for Ethan is just a longing for the past or the beginning of something more. As their bond strengthens, so does the tension between them, building toward a moment that will change everything. When Ethan finally confesses his feelings, Luca is forced to confront the truth he's been hiding from himself all along. In a story filled with slow-burn romance, emotional growth, and the intricacies of love and friendship. From childhood companions to star-crossed college roommates, Ethan and Luca's journey is a heartwarming and achingly tender exploration of friendship, loss, and the kind of love that spans both time and distance.

"I can consider your request," he finally replied, causing her face to light up with hope. The weight of her desperation seemed to lift momentarily, replaced by a glimmer of possibility. But then, Kabir paused, making her heart sink. "On one condition," he added, his voice low and serious. The room suddenly felt suffocating, as if the air had been sucked out, leaving only tension and uncertainty. "Finish what we started the other day." His words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken desires and unfinished business. Kiara furrowed her brows, confusion evident on her face. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. Her mind raced, desperately trying to piece together the fragments of their shared history. Kabir leaned in closer, whispering into her ear. "How many romance books do you read?" Devin asks me. I shrug. "I like them," I say. I keep browsing, running my fingers along the spines. "So, you like romance then?" he asks me. I nod. "What's your favorite part of a love story?" "I like the very first kiss, but I like the second one even more," I say. I bite my lip and look at him. Oh. My. God. What the hell am I doing? Am I flirting? I think that I'm actually flirting. With Devin. Devin, my best friend. I have officially lost my mind. I should probably stop. But I can't seem to. "Will you grab me that one?" I ask. I point above my head, my back's pressed against the bookcase. He locks his gaze on mine and reaches over me to grab the book I asked for. "Thanks." I don't move and neither does he. Riley and Devin have been best friends forever-since Kindergarten. It's Senior year of high school, now. And it's always been simple, Riley's got his back, he's got hers. But as life goes on Riley can't help but wonder if maybe he's not just her best friend, if she likes him as possibly something more. As her feelings deepen and become something greater it becomes more evident that she's falling, really hard. No matter how hard Riley tries she can't stop falling, she can't stop from loving him. Even if it tears her to pieces or even if it destroys their friendship. Pretty soon Riley is going to have to choose between walking the safe line of friendship or taking the unpaved path of love.
