Breaking the light

"Why do you keep running away from me?"
He said as his eyes begin to glaze over

My chest starts to ache from seeing him in pain but, I can't risk being left hurt and getting my heart broke. After what happen with my parents, it's a risk I can't take.

"I'm not like you and never will be. I can't turn into a wolf. I'm just a human, there is nothing special about me. You have to let me go." I said with pain clear in my voice.

"That is where you're wrong my little bird. You are the light in the darkness of my soul. You chase the shadows away in my dreams. You're the hope, I thought wasn't there. You brought me back to life in more ways than one. Don't you see that your my everything? Plus human or not you're the only one that can save me and all the other paranormals out there." He said with such conviction in his voice.
