It is a normal hot summer day. Until it isn't. When everyone in her neighborhood suddenly disappears, Maya finds herself on her own, but not alone. Strange shadow creatures have taken the place of people, and roam the streets hunting for prey. With no friends, family, or place to go, Maya now has only two goals: find answers and survive.

A seven year old girl trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a fairly small city in rural New Mexico. This is the third in my short story series taken from the universe created for my first book. Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? This story is unedited and first draft as keeping with my first two short stories posted to Instagram and therefore will not be polished or fixed with multiple drafts leading to an end product. This story was meant to be raw or just as it poured from my head.
