Inkopolis has just been saved once again by the Squid Beak Splatoon. Agent 3 feels suspicious about the new agent, agent 8, an Octoling. Being on many missions herself, fighting Octolings like him, she can't help but get the feeling that something about him isn't quite right. Agent 8 feels unsure and unwelcomed to the city as he is forced to hide his identity as not all inklings accept Octolings into their home. Not only that, but he also has a problem with getting along with Agent 3! But what happens if a mysterious, unknown threat comes toward the surface, threatening to destroy both Inkling and Octoling kind alike? Can the agents work together to save their race? Or would their city population be washed away for good? _________________ This story takes place after the events of Octo Expansion Hi and welcome to my 2nd book! First of all thanks for reading this and I hope you'll stick to the end and find the story entertaining. Secondly, I am a big fan of Splatoon though I am still a bit of a newbie to it. 14 years with peace and quiet; 14 years with no major disturbances; 14 years of Petra being dead, Pearl grieving and the agents of the Squidbeak Splatoon dealing with minor issues. Not to mention Cora (Agent 3) and Tobias (Agent 8) starting a family, Lance and Marie getting married and so much more. 14 years of peace... Isn't that a little too long for our main characters? I think our main villain would agree with that. So what would happen if a familiar member of the huge, confusing family, reappears but as a villain, 3 people already having known about them being alive? (Theoretically) What would happen when people are kidnapped, experimented on, turned evil against their will and forced to fight their families? What if... They couldn't save those who they dearly loved, and had to watch them die? The agents would say that it's nothing new, but within the chaos of this new villain, they would all realise that this fight would be something new. This adventure was going to be different to anything else they have done in their lifetime. This adventure was going to change all of their lives, PERMANENTLY. It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.Complete

Heyo! This is my first Splatoon fanfic here, so I hope it's not too cringy. A bit of swearing (maybe), but overall, pretty friendly (I hope). I'd say 10+ for ages.
