Finally, he found her in the locker room, and without wasting a second or giving a second thought, he ran to her and hugged her. She was stunned and stiffened at her place with her eyes wide open in shock and surprise by his sudden hug. Her heart started beating erratically. "Thank you so much, my lucky charm." Prikshit didn't hold back his emotions this time and said what was in his heart. Was it just excitement or something else? He doesn't know. But hearing the particular word 'Lucky Charm,' Mihika was frozen in her place. Nothing came out of her mouth, and she was numb. This man is calling her lucky charm when her whole life she just heard that she is nothing but a bad omen. Prikshit broke their hug and kept saying in one breath in excitement what he was feeling while she was just standing there dumbfounded, "I was so nervous that how would I do it alone, but your presence did everything right, and your words made my nervousness and fear disappear. You said what I actually wanted to hear. I did my life's first critical surgery successfully only because of you, my lucky charm. Thanks for being there for me." Tears gathered in her eyes on their own, sinking his words, and he was about to palm her face when a nurse came towards the locker room, calling him. "Doctor Prikshit, the daughter of the patient, wants to have a word with you." "I am coming." He turned to answer the nurse, and she left, but when he turned again, Mihika was gone. He sighed helplessly and walked out of the locker room. •~•~ This one is the spin-off series of my two books. This is my first book... :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friends, love, hope and dreams are the four pillars of teenage. While they mold the life for better for most of us, it was nothing less than a nightmare for her. She, who thought was cursed and shouldn't even have existed. She, who was named a devil; whose past hovered above her, burdened her and haunted her each time she thought of living a normal life. When having a boyfriend was as normal as breathing for her friends, it was something abstract for her; unrealistic, out of her league. Thus, plastering a smile on her face, veiling her dreadful existence, she quietly lived; existed. She, who desperately tried to hide her secret, once dared to swim against the current, proposed her first crush in high school and got stabbed by that same person. The person whom she loved, trusted. When her first crush publicly degraded her, broadcasting her past to the entire school; something died within her. Her hope. To love and to live a normal life. She was broken - beyond repair. After she moved to her new life in London, she thought she had left everything behind in India, only until she met him. ------------ Copyright © Radhika Acharya All rights to this book are reserved *** Do not copy my work.
