For a long time, Shapeshifter Meru and his father Ant et Fa led a quiet life in the village of Do'ime. But then a mysterious plague broke out of nowhere and hunters raided them. During this attack Meru has to watch his father being killed before his eyes. Then the murderers disappear without a trace. Driven by the desire to avenge his father's death, Meru travels all over Lamyra and soon realizes that there is more at stake than just revenge. He learns that a dark prophecy hovers over him, which could destroy not only his life, but all of Lamyra.
