Anka, the oldest of her sisters, is a dreamer. She thinks of impossible realities, distant futures, and ways to do things her way– without harming anyone. And that includes humans.

Krista, the youngest of her mermaidian sisters, is a wonder. Fierce, strong, and stubborn; Krista can't imagine a life different from the one she already leads under the sea. But when an opportunity presents itself, she can't help but want to take the chance to leave the life she has for a few days and visit the land above- the land where the humans reside. There's only one problem – Anka is doing everything in her power to stop Krista from her excursion, and Krista can't understand why. After all, there's only one small thing at stake – the life of the human prince.
