Hey, is that a wild hermitcraft oneshot book I see? Yep.

The title sounds like a cowboy au, lol

Requests are welcome, just know that I don't ship the hermits at all. Everything is purely platonic. If I don't get to your request, don't feel bad. This is literally my first time doing this so I'm probably not going to keep up very well.

(Also, please note that I don't own any of the hermits.)

Boy, I can't believe I'm doing this.

Also, all art is mine. You can follow my art account "MissCloudDemon" on Instagram if ya wanted.

When trying to repair a mysteriously obsidian-clogged conduit, Impulse suddenly sees what appears to be a shark. Confused, he swims closer to get a better look... oh no. That's not a shark. As the creature tightens its hold on the server, bringing more and more of the Hermits under its control, and Tango turns up scared and with a broken arm, the message starts to become apparent: Trust no one. Not even your friends. Especially not your friends. After all, that leaves you Playing Open-Handed. This book is a sequel to another of my stories, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, but you don't necessarily need to read that to understand most of what happens. Enjoy! --- Story by me Inspiration and characters from Hermitcraft Witty comments (but actually not the lore this time) with help from ausforyou (Okay, this time I'm gonna put a monologue from Henry V because why the hell not, nobody reads this far into the description anyway: Thus says my king to Harry of England: Though we seemed dead, we did but sleep. We could have rebuked you at Harfleur, but that we thought it not good to bruise an injury till it were full ripe. Therefore, consider of your ransom, which must proportion the losses we have borne, the subjects we have lost and the disgrace we have digested, which in weight to re-assess, England's pettiness would bow under. Indeed, your own person, kneeling at our feet, is but a weak and worthless satisfaction of our losses. To this, add defiance: you hath betrayed your followers, whose condemnation is pronounced. So much my king and master bids tell you, so much my office.)

"Each world has its own story. Even if you tried to get a story from me, I wouldn't be able to tell you half of it. There is so much life in each build and block, and each event has told their own tale. But it has to start somewhere." Fate has the oddest ways of getting people together. It might tear your world apart as you know it. It might give you loss and grief. It might even show you a side that you never knew you had. But it does all this for a reason. What is that reason? Well... You'll have to find out. This is the origin of how Hermitcraft came to be. Just remember-- Every end of a story is a new beginning for another. - Some information before you start the story: - This story takes place before Hermitcraft officially started, so maybe 7-8 years ago or so. - Despite this, though, the world is set in 1.13/1.14. - If you die, it's permanent. There are no respawn mechanisms. - The backstories for each character are based around events that happened in Season 6, which might not be relevant in seasons to come. - The total word count for this story is 49,001. It was originally published on October 16, 2019. - I try to mention each Hermit at least once, but I might have missed some. DISCLAIMER: This book does hint at a bit of shipping. I write ships based on the Hermits' Minecraft personas and not their actual IRL selves. None of this content is meant to offend anyone, it's purely a writing hobby. If any of the Hermits find any of my content disrespectful or uncomfortable, I have no problem in taking it down. With all that being said, enjoy the story!

A once free and happy minecraft player, who had finally overcome his disaster of a past, finds himself trapped in a place he'd never imagined he'd see again. Was he finally free from being consumed by their power? Or is this just some kind of sick prank that's being pulled on him? For now all he can do is put one foot in front of the other and hope for the best. Hope. Will this lost watcher ever find a place he is accepted in or will he continue to be pushed away by everyone in society? [Trigger Warnings (TW)] This story will contain: •Some mentions of violence •Some mentions of blood, slight gore such as cuts and other battle related injuries ~please let me know of there are any other warnings that I should add here~ [DISCLAIMER] [I do not intend on shipping any characters within this story and if I do ship anyone it will be my own oc's (original characters) not the irl people. I am not writing about the irl people, I am only writing about their character/personas and they will often be ooc (out of character). I do not own all characters that are included in this fanfiction and I do not intend on stealing them. If you do not wish to be included in this story please let me know and this story will be removed. I do, however, own the oc's included in this story and it would be preferred if you ask me before using them in your own work. The main character body and wings were found on google when I searched for 'character base with wings' and I cannot find the owner of the base to credit them, sorry. The background, cloak, mask and other details (such as colour and shading) were all made by me. ~thanks echo]
