Year 3023 of the liturgical calendar and the earth had undergone drastic ruination after a series of harrowing cataclysms known as "the great collapse". Humanity was on the brink of desolation, so in their desperate attempt for hope, they believed in saviors from fairy tales, myths, and legends not knowing that those personas will later haunt and walk amongst them. Now within the last safe refuge on Earth known as Arkhan, Dr. Mortis Arius Velmont is afflicted by this dire wish, afraid of accepting it as blessing rather than a curse.
