"I told you to fucking stop snooping around!" He yelled, and I recoiled, my breath catching in my throat. His fist slammed into the wall right next to my head, and I flinched. I froze,

"I am s-sorry! I just wanted to know about your little br-"

"Don't you dare talk about him," he pointed a finger at me, and I shrunk back. I had only meant the best for him, and I only wanted to be there for him. His well-being was one of my top priorities, and yet, he treated me so poorly. I felt my lips quiver and tears welling in my eyes as I fought the urge to burst into sobs.

"I did it for you," I attempted to explain, but his words immediately silenced my voice. "You are my husband," I repeated softly as I reluctantly placed my palm on his cheek.

"No," he snapped, pushing my hand away. "You are not my wife," he said sternly, leaving me shaken.

"But - you know the curiosity killed the cat," he continued, my eyes suddenly widening as I realized his intentions. Before I could say anything else, he threw me over his shoulder.
