Monsters of Our Own

When alien life, known as Kaiju, started rising from a portal deep in the Pacific Ocean known as " the breach", mankind is forced into a war for survival. To combat these monsters, nations threw aside old rivalries to build Jaegers, equally destructive robotic machines to fight the Kaiju, thus beginning the Jaeger program. These were piloted by two people whose brains are linked together by a neural handshake. The more the two had shared together, the better they fight.

Black Enigma. The first of the mark-3 jaegers. Standing at 276 feet tall, it was a brutal war machine. But jaegers are only as good as their pilots, and black enigma's team was none other than the Gypson twins. The two girls, Charlotte and Renee, were the pilots nicknamed "mankind's saving grace." Approaching their 4th kill, the team seemed to be unbeatable, and every girl wanted to grow up to be like them. But when an accident in combat puts Renee in a coma, Charlotte is forced to pilot with someone she may have no drift compatibility with.

Jackson Emric only dreamed of joining the jaeger program. But for now, all he can do is watch the fights from the TV in the dining room of the restaurant he cooked in or listen to head chef Robin Teirs, a retired mark-2 pilot, and his stories of piloting. But when a mix up between Jack and Robin takes place, jack sees it as a chance to pilot. It seemed a good idea -until he met Charlotte who turned out to be cold, heartless, and on the verge of insanity.
