Faith, the daughter of a farmer, meets and falls in love with a boy at the river. Once every week, they go on kayak trips with a group of people. As time progresses, their friendship solidifies, and Faith's feelings for him blossom much like the Bradford Pears that lined the river banks. She only has 5 chances to make him hers. When Faith begins to realize that her time is running out, does she tell Owen how she feels, or does she keep it to herself and walk away and only keep him as a memory of what could have been?
