"If there's something like a silver lining that came out of this quarantine, it's how we had the chance to break the walls between us and finally know each other better despite these pixel screens and different cities we live in"

Two polar opposites. One coming-of-age story.

Amidst a lockdown due to a pandemic, nineteen-year-old Alex is facing the burden and anxiety of online classes. A self-proclaimed romantic, he spends his free time reading novels, watching romcoms, and talking about anything pop culture with his best friend Zeke. His perspective about himself and others changes when a conversation he had with a cynical...someone (he couldn't figure out if they were even friends or just strangers with shared memories) that started from small talk, surprisingly shifts to a mutual unveiling of their thoughts and beliefs on various topics. A Gen Z story about human connection where two souls experience an unexpected summer of unfiltered conversations, connecting better despite the sign of the times.

I fell for a boy with the kindest blue eyes, and a charming dimple. He made me feel loved, and cared for, and most importantly he made me feel safe in his presence. He came right in the middle of a tornadoe and managed to turn it into blue skies. He changed my perspective and gave me hope and strength." I looked at him, and he was smiling, and his eyes were a little glossy. He took my hand and kissed it, a small tear caught in the corner of his beautiful eyes. "I thought, hey, maybe life isn't so bad after all. Maybe I can finally allow myself to love and be loved, and to live life normally. When we went to your party, you told me to wait for you. But then your perverted cousin made me feel super uncomfortable, so I went looking for you, just to be able to feel at peace again. And that's when I saw it." My heart beats skyrocketed, because this was the moment everything changed forever. "Saw what?" Asked Axel. I took a deep breath, and continued. It's now or never. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Sophia Grace is a 25 year old Forensic Science major who recently started working as a cashier at her local grocery store - "The Corner Store". Lorenz's life was predictable. A small, bustling coastal town in the Philippines, university applications, and the constant, familiar rhythm of his language, Tagalog. He was nineteen, easygoing, and entirely unprepared for the American summer that was about to arrive. Lucas flew in from the United States-handsome, refined, and completely out of place. He was the son of Lorenz's mother's close friend, sent to the tropics for a month-long vacation. He knew crisp English and nothing of the sticky heat, the crowded jeepneys, or the deep, complex hospitality of a Filipino home. The two were immediately bound by obligation. Lorenz was Lucas's unwilling guide; Lucas was Lorenz's linguistic burden. They were forced to navigate small spaces, loud family dinners, and streets full of noise, communicating through simple sentences and frustrated gestures. Every encounter became a study in translation. Lorenz struggled to find the perfect English phrase to explain a cultural nuance. Lucas struggled to understand why rice is life. But as the initial annoyance faded, something else began to form in the gaps between the two languages. In shared silences, in accidental touches, and in the effort to simply understand each other, the distance between them narrowed. This is a story about what happens when two worlds collide, and when the words you use aren't enough to contain the feelings you are trying to hide. ........ "Teenage relationships are fake." That's what most people say. They think it's just drama, temporary attraction, and silly heartbreaks. But sometimes... teenage love can be more pure, more intense, and more real than anything else. This story is about that kind of love. In this book, you'll see how different two people can be .. not just in background, but in how they see the world. The girl belongs to a rich family. She's bold, smart, and knows what she wants. The boy comes from a middle-class home. He's calm, simple, and scared of getting into something as confusing as love. Still, destiny brings them together. They're both toppers, both talented, both teenagers. But when it comes to love .. their thoughts don't match. She falls first .. slowly, softly. And he falls later .. but when he does, he falls harder than ever. This story is not about perfect people. It's about real emotions, silent stares, late-night thoughts, innocent fights, handwritten letters, and unspoken promises. It's about teenage love .. raw, messy, honest. You'll laugh with them. You'll cry with them. You'll smile at their small wins and feel your heart ache at their misunderstandings. Because this book isn't just about romance. It's about growing up, falling for someone when you least expect it, and learning that love doesn't care about status, fear, or timing. So welcome to this journey. A journey where she fell first... and he fell harder. A beautiful, imperfect, unforgettable teenage love story.
