Blood, death and darkness. She felt it, the pull to the darkness. The pull to the light. The balance that should be there. The feeling to choose a side the light or the darkness. To choose death or life. To kill or the save.
She gently pushed herself out of Caranín's arms and forced herself to take some steps back. He watched her, his blue eyes trying to read her. But her shields were up and nothing was going to get through.
'Vylia, please please let me help." He pleaded. She turned to look out across the city, the pale moon lighting up the grey buildings making them shine silver.
"I can't." She whispered. He took a step towards her and she turned around to face him.
"This is my burden, not yours."
"Vylia, I just want to help you. You are not a burden." Tears swelled in her eyes as she looked at him.
"Just go!" And she turned away from him. He watched as her shoulders started to shake. She was crying.
"Anatàr did this to you." He whispered and walked back inside. Vylia put her hands over her face and let the tears flow.

Vylia woke up on the couch outside, how she got there, she did not know.
