Those were some of the words they used to describe me. My mother couldn't protect me and I understood why. Who would want to protect a son who was as heartless as I am.
I wanted to tell them it wasn't what it seemed like, but for some reason I felt like it was a lie. The action I displayed here would forever haunt me, that I'm sure of. To me this was the worst sin I've ever committed, a sin that I wanted to be punished for so badly.
When looked at in another way, this wasn't something serious, but for someone like me it was. My teeth shined brightly on the rainy day of my father's funeral. Everyone shed both real and fake tears, but I stood there with my teeth shining brightly as I stared at my father's coffin as it went below the ground.
Why was I born into this world like this? Why couldn't I have a normal family? and why did he have to die? He was such a foolish man.

The Summer I Felt Pretty.
Alex.. That's all I remembered that summer night 3 years ago.. It was my 19th birthday and I was celebrating at the beach house, like we always did. Together. This summer was different.
