Emily peered at the sun through her squinted eyes. It was definitely brighter than her what grandmother had described, she had never seen something so captivating. She forced herself to look away, her eyes were not used to the sun, or anything bright for that matter. You see, Emily had lived her whole life in a dark world, a very dark world.
