So when a writer with a hobby of hiking in dangerous terrain, without anyone knowing, stumbles upon a subposibly haunted castle at the end of a forbidden trail, she was not prepared for the scene that awaited her. She definitely wasn't prepared to deal with an infuriating shapeshifting idiot! Of course that's only what she says in her head.
