Luke used to date that songwriter that he is forced to work with. But he needs his next hit or his label is going to drop him. He could easily record and release songs on his own without the need of a label but the problem is that no one has faith in him anymore. His sound is off. His songs are meaningless and his personal life is going downhill.
When his manager shows him the list of the suggested names of songwriters that he should work with, he purposely chooses Maria Valores. Only few know of his connection to Maria.
Luke is still hurt from that failed relationship and can't stop blaming Maria for leaving him when he needed her the most. She left and his faith crashed right after her with no way of fixing or even going back.
