Idra is the product of her father's polygamous ways - a privilege he enjoys as Elder of the Tasahki Tribe. She is youngest of the twelve sires, but respected for her knowledge in the art of healing, a skill taught to her by her mother before she passed. An asset to the Tasahki people, Idra is content with her place in life... which is about to change its course.

In order to secure an alliance, her father forces her into a Bind with the Chieftain of the Dunbrack Clan - a man well known for his brutality.

Shipped away to a cold and foreign land, Idra must earn the respect of the Dunbrack people, whilst simultaneously learning what it means to be bound to a man she does not think she can ever love.
