A long time ago there was people who were different, they had powers. They were criticized and unwanted by society. People who didn't have powers decided to end them, and they did, or so they thought. The survivors of this magicians, as they were called, move to and island, where they built a passthrough to another world that they created. They live there for years but now they need someone powerful, someone who once used to be of the human world to be the one to guide their magic and their world. In this world they were unwanted. In this world when a child was born with magic is unwanted and mistreated. When a magic child is born is usually disowned and thrown away. Some childs are love by their families but they are hated by those magic children who are unwanted. Is a difficult world, but is where people live, those who possess magic are obligate to never used it and in consequence they lose their capability of using their magic. Other children's just practice alone, in the dark. For those who are lucky and are born in a family where their is knowledgement of magic and where the family knows their exists magical school and institutions, the kid is send there in order to one day be able to go to the magical island, where they could go to the magical world.
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
