Raised in the bustling town of Portland, Maine, Raven has led what seems to be a fairly average and normal life, despite her poor start to life. She's attended school as required and done quite well in her studies, as well as excelled in her extracurriculars. She strives to become a world-renowned artist, attending classes at a local university to obtain her art major and masters in business in order to further her dreams. However, questions that have gone unanswered continued to bother her, for as long as she can remember. Questions circling her history and where she comes from; what happened to her parents and why she truly is being raised by her grandparents instead; where she came from and who she is; and the most important question of all, pertaining to the odd things that she has been able to see since she was a baby - things that no one else can see.
Will she discover who she is? Will she discover what truly happened to her family? Or will the darkness shrouding over her beautiful city engulf what little remains of the light within?

"Shift." His voice hit me like a serrated blade as he stepped out of the crude semicircle of hardened wolves that had formed around me. I pushed myself off of the cold floor for what felt like the thousandth time that day, wiping the small trail of blood coming off of my lip and down my chin. "I won't ask you again." When things finally seem to go back to normal it all blows up in their face one more time, this time the explosion is so big people die and Alex is forced to kill.
