Auburn Rosewood didn't even know who she was anymore, since a jumbled mess of death, blood and lies had shattered whatever meaning life had to her.

No one knew really knew what had happened that disastrous night. All they really knew was that there was blood on the walls, a corpse on the floor, and a shivering child under the staircase, her blue eyes cold and numb.

Two years later, when she embarks at the Elmwood Academy for Finer Education as an undercover detective assigned by her father to find out who is behind the stolen documents of the guarded school, things start getting ugly. In a carefully crafted mess, she is left alone to discover the difference between truths and lies, and friends and enemies. And maybe, just maybe, those threats aren't just a petty teenage dare, but rather an intricate plan to bring someone down.

Inside a world of lies, vengeance, two-faced monsters and blood-shed, Auburn has to choose her battles correctly. And she has yet to know that friendship and love can be found even in the most unexpected places, and her brutal past is maybe the cost for a better future.
