Before the world went to hell her parents divorced. Her mother, who had custody of Mya, sent her to military camp when she was just seven years old.
When the apocalypse broke out her mother was one of the first to get bitten.
She is now a twenty five year old who has gone through a lot - such as abuse from her mother, depression, and sexual abuse from her uncle whom had disappeared a month into the apocalypse.
She meets up with a group near Atlanta, which includes a very attractive, yet stubborn redneck. There is many twists and turns, will Mya stay with the group or tuff it out?
