Young David used to hate life as a child. His excuse for a father was never around, he got picked on all the time at school, and his mother was a goofy and embarrassing woman who tried way too hard to get her son to look on the bright side of dark situations. He stayed trapped in his concrete prison of a room while trying to distract himself most days, not concerned with anything that had to do with anything outside of his little world. Concerned, his mother sent him to a summer camp called Camp Campbell, hoping it would help him reconnect with reality, and show him that there are really beautiful things out there. At first, he hated everything there was to offer about this place. He thought he couldn't see the good in this place if he wanted to.

It was that one stupid smile.

That one stupid face.

That one stupid voice.
