Polybius Morse, an uncanny and dangerously astute teenager who lives as an aspiring swindler at Lumoise City in Kalos Region, would meet the Napier twins whose individual skills would fit his edgy attitude. Being good at confidence games, his love for challenge and of the chase unravel the detective in him. With Kalos Region being full of looming violence and crimes, Polybius along with Radix and Gelosia would work as a trio throughout the pursuit to fight against darkness and unmask the sources of evil that lurk within the region.
Their eagerness and curiosity would lead them to oppose an anonymous criminal mastermind. K.V., the evil disguised in a form unknown to them, threatens the trio if they continue to uncover his identity. Polybius, being obsessed about this unidentified villain, would try to solve K.V.'s ingenious crimes with his deductive powers. He then unintentionally helps the city while gaining fame from the crimes that his group had solved.
