After a horrific breakup with her long time boyfriend Nathan Rodriguez, who coincidentally *cough, cough* started dating a gorgeous, blonde, completely better in every way girl, Lydia Mackie, 20 year old Autumn Vega decides it's time for a change. Of course the public, humiliating, and heartbreaking course of actions in her life swayed her into that decision, however, she was determined to wipe the tears, bottle up the emotions, and spill them out on paper. At first things are going well: new freedom, possibilities, actual time to live a life that's her own. All of that comes crashing down when she finds out that not only has Nathan dumped her, but also their mutual best friend, Parker Sutton, to join the behind the scenes action of his other new, 2.0 friend's band, Sano Park. Remembering all the times Nathan bashed her own music dreams, ignoring her songs and hard work, she viciously throws herself into her music, doing everything in her power to make those dreams come true for herself.
It's not too long before she miraculously gets a chance, in the form of a band member named Jamie Long. Lead singer and guitarist of the farther than up and coming band the Two Tones, he has scars and secrets of his own, and maybe a little of his own revenge to be had too. With a proposal Autumn can't refuse, how will life ever be the same?
