Book two after Sans x reader New Life, so read that first. It's been 2 years since she left, yes the monsters were safe but they were unhappy without her. Now that Y/N's dead what does Sans do? I'll tell ya, absolutely nothing. He doesn't leave his room except for meals and to visit the garden. Chara and Frisk are in a somewhat similar situation, they both don't speak to anyone and they barely do anything.
Tori and Asgore have earned monsters rights although some are still against it. Undyne and Alphys have gotten engaged and are soon to be married. While Paps has become a local chef at a restaurant. The monster group always remind themselves of Y/N and how she gave them their fIrst home. But no one is allowed to mention her name out loud, Sans and the girls get upset.
Life is pretty sad but what does the future have in store for them?

Frisk has freed the monsters of the Underground. Finally, monster kind is allowed to return to the surface. It's been 3 years since then. Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really?
