A letter and song to my first love. A love that never came to be a reality. A love that taught me so much about what it truly means to but someone else's happiness above your own. A love that burned to brightly within my own heart that it felt as if it would consume me. A love with you.
My hope is that you one day find this and remember. Remember every memory, every joke, every laugh we had. I hope you remember every moment that I do with a warmth in your heart and smile on your face. My hope is that, after writing this, I can finally let you go.

I'm Zander." That's all he could say before I kissed him. He immediately tensed up, but then he did something I didn't expect. He kissed me back and grabbed my waist, pulling me closer. I opened my mouth a little in shock, and his tongue went in my mouth. He tasted like rainwater and peppermint. Despite myself, I moaned a little when he deepened the kiss even further. After what felt like 2 hours, we broke apart. "I'm sorry," he said blushing a little "but it just kinda clicked." he explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's okay." I said, also starting to blush a little. For 2 minutes the awkward just settled between us, and I swear it was tangible. He broke the silence first, finally meeting my eyes and not staring at his high-tops. "So...", he started and chuckled nervously "Could I get your number?" I stared at him for a second wondering if it would even be a good idea, when he said "I know we don't know each other, but I felt fireworks just now, and even if we don't go on a date, I'd love to see you again."
