It is a carnivorous insects that eat flesh and shucks blood. They are fast like a wasps and big as a bee. The main characters face a great crisis during the disaster. The country has been infested by a huge mysterious insect invented by a scientist. Drake Merrion is a child survivor, and now he is an archeologist. During the time when he was able to understand and investigate who was behind of the so called Pest, that kills people and animals in his country. He try to risk himself just to prove that he is right in his motives. Together with his sister, Jessica Merrion, also a survivor, and now a biologist, she found out that there is a hierarchical structure of this insect: the worker, the army "the killer", the Queen, that reproduce eggs. They both investigate of who are or how are they going to prevent the pest to attack. There is also a secret behind the invention of this black insect that's why you should read this novel.😅
