THE POLTERGEIST has been an asset of Hydra's for as long as she can remember, forced to kill and carry out their most dangerous missions. Her past is shrouded in mystery, and she knows nothing but her treatment at Hydra's hands. She is a killer with guilt slowly seeping into the shadowy corners of her mind, and she doesn't know how much longer she can continue like this.
THE AVENGERS lasted a year split up before Steve Rogers' team, including Bucky Barnes-recently cleared of his trigger words, returned with intentions to make amends and sign the accords. After all, staying together was more important than how they did it. But the events of the fight are not so easily forgotten, and tension brews just below the surface of their team.
When a turn of events brings the Poltergeist and the newly reunited Avengers together, Hydra's asset will have to relearn everything in her life and come to terms with her past, all while dealing with the tension amongst the team. Will she bring the Avengers closer together or will her presence fuel the divide between them?
But while the Poltergeist deals with the Avengers, Hydra's commander still lives, and he will do anything to get his asset back.

Bucky Barnes starts to remember his life before he became the Winter Soldier. After the events of Washington, he had wanted to run away and hide. He knew people would come looking for him, especially Hydra and the Avengers. Hidden away in a remote town, on the outskirts of Maine, Bucky tries to live a simple life without drawing attention to himself. Little does he know, he had been followed. ***** Alexandria (Lexi) Adams, was one of the best shadow agents of SHIELD. She was one that Fury trusted with everything, including her judgement. Fury knew that having the Winter Soldier on their side, would be beneficial, not to mention, it would stop Rogers from turning down missions he was needed on. Lexi follows Barnes from a distance, helping to set him up with a home and job, without him knowing it was her. She had moved in to the apartment across from him, playing the friendly neighbour, which was a feat in itself. Lexi was never considered a friendly type of person. It was her mission, to help keep him safe, recover his past, and obtain any Hydra information. She makes sure to bump into him, while shopping for groceries, introducing herself, but she finds he's very closed off and guarded. Can she get through to him, or will he up and run again?
