Avalyn is the tale of a girl who was what you would call. . . different, I suppose. With her sharp pixie features and long, white blonde wavy hair streaked with strange colors, and stormy gray-blue eyes that frightened people who looked into them too long. She was often told they looked like a raging sea.

She learned to shut people out, from a series of unfortunate events through her lifetime, trying to hide her age for some ponderous reasons. With the looks of a willowy fairy, she was thought of as possibly niéve from her nonchalant look she carried, as a shield of protection.

She has made an oath to never, ever again, let someone into her life, and will go to extreme measures to keep the unwanted out. When her wall of isolation built up throughout the years is threatened, all chaos breaks loose as Avalyn goes through her journey of self discovery... She meets some interesting people along the way, some of them sticking around for longer than she had expected.
