A re-telling of Hansel and Gretel.
"When a rose bares its thorns, all hell breaks loose."
From the tale, after Hansel and Gretel were left in the forest by their own parents, they found themselves inside a house made of gingerbread and sweets resided by a cannibalistic witch that intends to fatten children before eventually eating them, but Gretel outwits the witch--killing it.
In this story, it was Oceanne and River, after they were asked by their father to wait in the deepest corners of the woods, they were attacked by monstrous beasts disguised as humans-- separating the twin siblings.
Oceanne was eventually found by an organization called "Rose" who aims humanity's liberation from the same beasts that attacked them-- they call it "Thorns"-- while River was left alone.
As Oceanne grows up with the goal of reuniting with her brother, she realizes that there's more to it; about the members of Rose and the Thorns.
Can she accomplish her goals while unfolding the mysteries of the creatures that caused the tragedies of her life?
