Rupert Hilden is haunted by the image of a bald man he saw through his bedroom window as a child. 24 years later he sees the same man in a distant apartment window and each time he sees the man he is closer. But Rupert is unable to convince anyone that what he is seeing is real. As Rupert investigates he uncovers several disturbing family secrets that seem to be connected.

And then the murders begin...

This psychological thriller horror tale will be presented in serial form over the course of 34 weeks.

A readers review (electricblue85): Sean Fisher's "13 Windows" was one of the first books I completed in 2021. In short, IT BLEW MY FREAKING MIND. "13 Windows" tells the chilling, mind-boggling story of Rupert Hilden: a miserable individual haunted by the image of the bald man he saw through his bedroom window as a child. But the story is not that simple. Not. Even. Close. Things get complicated when the murders begin. I've never really been into horror / thriller literature, but this book single-handedly made me a fan! The writing style, the level of detail, the suspense, the amount of research that went into crafting the plot and stage for this dynamic masterpiece of a book is STUNNING. And Sean Fisher composed MUSIC for the book. MUSIC! I highly recommend this story to inquisitive readers who want to be simultaneously impressed and disquieted--especially those that crave a great plot twist (because wow).

After the vampire uprising, survival means becoming a predator, or falling to one. Lucian hides in plain sight, pretending to be human in a secret human's apartment building. But when he discovers Callum, a limping human scavenger barely holding on, hunger turns to fixation. Days of silent stalking end with Callum waking bound in a filthy bathtub, stripped to fear and skin. In a world where death is certain, captivity begins to feel like safety, Callum finds himself in the fangs of an ancient vampire, bending the rules for his blood. Warnings: Blood, violence, nudity, kidnapping, stalking, non-consensual feeding, injury, malnutrition, power imbalance, psychological manipulation, Stockholm syndrome themes, threats of death, physical restraint, confinement, emotional manipulation, obsessive behavior, toxic relationship dynamics, depictions of fear and panic, post-apocalyptic setting, implied torture, biting with sexual undertones, intimacy under distress, possessive/controlling behavior, invasive touching, sensory deprivation, physical intimidation, non-Consent Elements, and sexual themes. - Chapter length: 2000-5000 words ( 8 minutes to 20+ minutes) This is a dark, mature story that deals with violence, captivity, and toxic relationship dynamics. It explores unhealthy, obsessive love in a fictional, post-apocalyptic world. None of these behaviors is okay in real life, and I don't condone them at all. I wrote them to show off some oc's. Please take care of yourself while reading and make sure no toxic vampires are trying to bite your neck in real life.

((This is targeted to people 16+)) The smell of blood was overwhelming. The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth. The pain only got worse when he felt the killer tug harshly, pulling his flesh out... ----- A gang of delinquents becomes lost in a forest, pursued by a frightening masked figure. He hunts them down individually, resembling a stalking wolf, wielding a crude knife fashioned from animal bones. As they struggle to survive, the teens also grapple with the harsh environment that challenges them. Throughout their ordeal, they discover more about one another, forming deeper connections as they begin to share their lives with one another. ----- ⚠️ WARNINGS ⚠️: - Gore, violent description of violence, - Cannibalism(not shown but alluded), - Death, - Descriptions of PTSD and trauma, - Abusive parents, mistreatment of children, - Foul, harmful language, - Nothing is real, this is a work of fiction,

I See You by January616
40 parts Complete Mature
Hey there folks, I'm Cody Phillips, welcome to New Orleans. N'awlins is known for many wonderful things, our coffee, music and the ability to throw a damn fine party. We're also known as the city most people believe may be one of the most haunted places in the world. Well, let me tell you this, we have more than our fair share. I know because I can see them. But, listen, don't spread that around. Yeah? It's been a closely guarded family secret my whole life. Not even my best friend knows this about me. See, I use my 'gift' in my work as a homicide detective with NOLA's finest boys in blue. Now, I understand why you might call it cheating, and that's fine. But I always catch the bad guy with the victim telling me everything I need to know and give the family involved closer. So it evens out as far as I can tell. Now just as my life is moving slower than a gator with a full belly, the worst happens. I get the call about a homicide that's hit too close to home. It leaves the girl of my dreams coming home to face tragedy. The moment I see her I find myself reminded of the one secret no one ever knew. Ever since I was eight years old I have felt many different things for Emma O'Neal, and those feelings haven't disappeared with time. Problem is now that she's come home; I find myself fighting not only an unknown assailant out for blood, my partner's misguided beliefs but my own need for the enticing beauty I'm duty sworn to protect. Damn, I just hope I'm able to fight the feelings I have for this woman, and stay focused on the case. Otherwise, I might end up losing something far more precious to me than the honor I've worked so hard for: Emma's life.
