Hello everyone, this is my first story in my life. I have an idea that might be great or it might be trash. I'd like to see what you guys think and I'm planning on making this a fun project for myself. If your not interested in the story I will not hate you for leaving or being honest. Ok, without any further ado let's get to the description. 

Our main protagonist Lestat Bar has been doing some investigating on places that has had missing persons or unsolved murders within them. He soon comes across a place called Stroker Town where the people seem to be hiding something. Little does he know that this place has a lot more secrets then he was led to believe. Will he survive, or will he die in this hellish town.

A short story prompt for a writing club I'm in I had a month to write it and a 12.5k word limit! It deserves to be longer so I probably should have done something that works well with the limit, but I had a really fun time writing out a concept start for this larger story I'm working on :) Again, this is a concept story! it has it's flaws, I look forward to rewriting it sometime in the future :) The story will explain things somewhat as you read through, but if you would like, here is a setting synopsis: At the end of the 21st century humanity fell to a incurable blight, the Blood Curse, and civilization as it was known collapsed with it. It was only through the biological properties of vampires, whom have existed as long as humans, that humanity could safely stave off the curse. One thousand years later, humanity and vampires have grown together through this mutual need, human's needing their curses to be sated, Vampires needing human blood for sustenance. A once tumultuous relationship of predator and prey now was one of equal standing and reverence. Not all human's have taken kindly to this new order of things however, and societies do exist that reject vampires and dangerously brave the curse on their own. In recent years these human's have become more brave and more daring, and in an ambush on Wyatt's village, Karva the town vampire has been injured and cannot satiate the curse for a time, right when a young child, Kuuno, is in dire need of it. Wyatt, a fledgling vampire yet to conquer their thirst for blood, Yeshen a doctor's apprentice, and Kuuno, the young child, venture out into the woods set for the nearest village and it's vampire to save the young boy. In this thick forest and uncertain times, what will they discover, and will they make it to their destination safely?

And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I don't know what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Besides, how bad can this demon be if they're guarding our town?
