Hazelclan has fallen to the shadows. A warrior named Daffodilbloom leads the survivors to a peaceful meadow. But did the shadows follow them? Or is there something else that's killing them off?

A fire. Caused by twolegs. And suddenly Nightpaw's entire life as she knows it has changed. The four clans that had ruled the territories for centuries have been wiped out. Now the future for any sort of clan rests in the paws of four apprentices. They will need to find a new territory, a new place to communicate with StarClan and, most importantly, cats to form a clan with. Will they survive? This story is set many moons after the great cats during Firestar's time were around. Also, any arcs after the first arc did not happen. The clans, long disconnected from their origins, have been thrown into chaos. In the midst of this loss, Shadowclan is strengthened! Their ranks are bustling with cats who gladly take new territory from the disappearing Thunderclan, and raise strong, prideful kits. Windclan is struggling to remain united, with only one queen in the nursery, an aging Healer and Guide, and a finicky remaining apprentice. Their leader, Daffodilstar, has resigned to believe that she will be the last leader of Windclan, with Crowkit and Foxkit as the last kits to live on the moor connected to the memories of their warrior ancestors. However, something new is coming to the clans! Foxkit, though others seem to lack any faith in her and her brother's connection to Windclan, has nothing but pride in her small home. On the other side of the border, Featherkit has a very different upbringing, constantly being told of the excellence of Shadowclan and their deep connection to Starclan.
