In the grand halls of the royal palace, two worlds collide as Princess Alexandra of Yorkshire and Prince Elijah of London find themselves bound by an arranged betrothal. Alexandra, the epitome of grace and kindness, bears the weight of her title with humility, her every move a reflection of her late mother's teachings. Yet, hidden beneath her regal façade, a storm brews, sparked by the arrival of Prince Elijah, whose stoic demeanour and dark reputation precede him.
Elijah, burdened by duty and devoid of emotion, begrudgingly prepares for the union, his heart a fortress no one has breached. As Alexandra's carriage rolls through the gates of his kingdom, the fates of two reluctant royals intertwine, setting the stage for a tumultuous journey of love, duty, and redemption. Will their hearts find solace in each other's company, or will their union be torn asunder by the shadows of their pasts?

"Princess," his deep voice chuckled, "you haven't seen a thing yet."
The way his green eyes glinted drew me in like a moth to a flame- his words; cold and cruel yet a strange attraction brewed in my chest.
"Maybe so, Prince Elijah," her pouty lips taunted, "but neither have you."
Her caramel eyes were glowing in the sunlight, her voice was a melody- a melody I wanted to keep to myself, my attraction to this princess was fatal.

She's gotten past a lot of her anxiety issues, made some friends, fallen in love, and has been named the top student of the Royal Academy. She's the first in line to become the next queen of Alumbridge, and be married to the Prince.
Except, the Prince and her have had a falling out because of the secrets he's hidden from her. While they had originally fallen in love, Catherine can't tell if any of the actions or words of affirmation have been real. And with him being in on the protest she started against his establishment, she's feeling like she's been betrayed.
Four months later, the Academy is opening back up, and Catherine is as numb and emotional as she's ever been. She feels eager to go back to continue her protest and see her friends, but she's also scared to go back and face the Prince who she still has overwhelming feelings towards.
As antagonistic forces loom in the distance, and Catherine's protest gets closer and closer to becoming an event, Catherine has to confront everything that she's come to know and believe so far. She has to confront both the past actions and past emotions that she's been putting off dealing with for the past few months. She has to figure out a way to work with the Prince, who she'd rather not see ever again, and deal with the revelations regarding him.
But most of all, Catherine has to decide if she wants to continue on her current life path, or make a decision that will change the trajectory of her life forever.
