There is a tale...
A tale of a statue that stands tall and proud in the park.
The statue is that of a woman who has no name. The plaque it bares contains no label.She's tall and lean. Her eyes show a sadness that can not be simply put into words. Perhaps that is what draws the tourists to her. Perhaps it's her stance. She looks as though she's protecting someone. Desperate to save an unknown person, her left hand is thrown up to block an invisible force. She is a protector. That is an unspoken agreement amongst the town. If you spot someone under her, they're seeking protection. You feel safe in her shade during hot summer days. It's unexplainable. Her left hand is stretched out just behind her hip. In a shape as though she's holding someone's hand. That hand's metal has been rubbed shiny. People say she was protecting her soulmate. That her soulmate was lost, and when they're reborn, and they hold her hand once more...
She will finally be human again.
