ha ha ha. looking through old stuff, I found that I had a vampire poem. I guess it's a stage we all go though. In my defence, it was written before they were so fashionable.

Fed up with this malicious arrangement, the vampires waged a war on mankind and came out the victors. Mankind were forced to retreat behind concrete walls designed to keep vampires at bay and this is where they stayed for decades. Evie is a human that has just fallen victim to a trap set by vampires so that she can be used as a source of food or even a plaything for a high bidding vampire. But to her bewilderment, she is taken to Alex. A dangerous and high ranking vampire that enjoys toying with his victims. Knowing how precarious this vampire is, Evie still can't shake the feeling that his striking blue eyes are reminiscent of something but what. But what lengths will she go to find out more about him and every other vampire? I guess it's true what they say. Opposites really do attract.Complete

7 years ago, an infection spread throughout Earth's population. Many were turned into what can only be described as a zombie. The cause of this infection? Vampires. Vampires have been trying to take over the Earth for centuries. They faced many problems, the main one being their lack of numbers. Turning humans is a dangerous process for both the humans and vampires. The vampires hired scientists to create a synthetic venom to turn humans into vampires. Their first prototype was tested prematurely. It gave the human test subjects extreme speed and strength for 1 hour. They escaped and infected hundreds. The infection spread and mutated till the Earth was overrun by different kinds of hungry human - eating zombies. Vampires aren't the only supernatural creatures. Most of the others have gone into hiding, trying to wait it out. Werewolves, however, are the mortal enemies of vampires. They have formed a guard that protects humans day and night. 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages.
